It is used in all areas of application where a special voltage other than 24 V is required. Conventional use as a power supply is not the only conceivable application. The possibility of dynamically changing the output voltage during operation, e.g. for speed control of DC motors/fans or for voltage adjustment in test benches, as well as numerous special functions such as sense line and current monitor, open up a wide range of possible applications.
